LOGAN, Utah- The Utah State Aggies will be rebuilding on both sides of the ball this offseason after losing many pieces to the like Max Alford to the transfer portal, Jalen Royals to the NFL Draft, and other seniors to graduation.

Bronco Mendenhall and his new staff will also be tasked with finding a replacement for All-Mountain West second teamer and 1,000+ yard rusher Rahsul Faison, who after initially declaring for the NFL Draft, has landed at South Carolina through the transfer portal.

Faison spent two years as a member of the Aggies after making the jump from his Snow College JUCO journey to Division I NCAA Football. Faison had a solid 2023 season with 736 yards and 118 carries, but saw a heavy uptick in his production last year, eclipsing the thousand-yard milestone, finishing the year with 1,109 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Following his standout season in Logan, Rahsul declared for the NFL Draft back on December 8, 2024, but following the NCAA waiver that granted junior college players an additional year of eligibility, Faison decided to return for one last year of college football, putting his name in the transfer portal.

Faison became one of college football’s most coveted transfer prospects the moment he became available, ranking 60th overall and the fourth-best running back in the portal according to 247 Sports.

Following numerous visits to top-tier, championship-contending programs, Rahsul had his list narrowed down to six: UCLA, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, UCF, and Florida State.

Rahsul Faison made his final decision on January 7, returning to NCAA Football as a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
