Nationally-ranked BYU basketball looks to extend its winning streak to five games when they take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe on Wednesday night.
It’s the second meeting this season between the Big 12 foes. BYU knocked off ASU in Provo to open Big 12 play on December 31 with a 76-56 victory.
BYU leads the all-time series against Arizona State, 27-19. Wednesday night will be BYU’s first visit to Tempe since December 4, 2002.
BYU is 19-8 overall and 10-6 in Big 12 Conference play. The Cougars are in fifth place in the Big 12 standings.
Arizona State is 13-14 overall and 4-12 in their inaugural season in the Big 12. The Sun Devils had an impressive win on the road at Kansas State on Sunday, but one of their star players, Jayden Quaintance, reportedly left the game on crutches due to an injury.
BYU basketball has remained in the Grand Canyon State since defeating Arizona on Saturday in Tucson. They have been practicing at the Phoenix Suns practice facility in preparation for the game against ASU.
Since the win over Arizona, BYU catapulted into the AP Top 25 poll for the first time this season, checking in at No. 25.
