The Rockets, meanwhile, are looking to hold onto the second seed in the West in the final 11 days of the regular season.
Houston owns a 2.0 game lead over the Denver Nuggets with six games left to play, but has the fifth-most difficult remaining schedule in the NBA.
After hosting the Jazz, the Rockets will welcome the Oklahoma City Thunder, before traveling for a three-game road swing to face the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Los Angeles Lakers before returning home to close the season against the Nuggets.
