PROVO, Utah – As expected, some BYU football players are entering the Transfer Portal during the spring window.
The spring transfer portal window opened on Wednesday, April 16, and runs until Friday, April 25.
On the first day of the spring window, a handful of BYU football players are already in the portal.
Cale Breslin, RB
Former three-star running back Cale Breslin spent one semester with the BYU football program. He will have four years of eligibility remaining in his college career.
Breslin was part of the 2025 recruiting class, picking BYU over reported offers from Indiana, Syracuse, Wisconsin, and others.
Coming out of spring practices, BYU has a busy running back room led by LJ Martin, with Sione Moa right after him.
I appreciate everything BYU has done for me, especially the coaching staff and Coach Harvey. After careful consideration with my family, I’ve decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal on April 16. I have four years of eligibility left and look forward to the next chapter. pic.twitter.com/SoXLnwe7LO

Justice Ena, OL
On3 reports that Justice Ena, the son of BYU linebackers coach Justin Ena, has entered the Transfer Portal.
Justice Ena was sidelined last season due to an injury. He competed during spring practices last month as the third-string center.
After returning home from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ena spent two seasons with the BYU football program. Coming out of Sky View High School, Ena initially signed with Utah State.
Nathan Hoke, DE/LB
Hoke, the son of BYU great Chris Hoke, was a scholarship signee in the class of 2021 out of North Allegheny High School.
Last year, Hoke competed as a linebacker before being switched to defensive end for the 2025 season.
I am grateful for all of the relationships and development that I was able to make at BYU. I am also grateful for the blessings I received while being a part of the team. With that being said, I am officially entering the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility left. pic.twitter.com/8hsNZQ1Y85

Landon Rehkow, Punter
Landon Rehkow, the younger brother of former BYU football star punter Ryan Rehkow, is entering the portal. Last year, Rehkow was in a position battle with current starter Sam Vander Haar that bled into nonconference play.
From the start of Big 12 play, BYU moved forward with Vander Haar as the starter.
After much thought and prayer, I am excited to announce that I am heading to the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining. I am excited for what’s next!@_Mike_McCabe @thedawsonzim @OneOnOneKicking pic.twitter.com/8xTimjj61l
