SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz forward Taylor Hendricks is back on the basketball court after suffering a serious leg injury in late October.

The 20-year-old was in Andalucia, Spain, with the NBA players’ association, alongside fellow Jazzman Brice Sensabaugh.

Taylor Hendricks Back Playing Five-On-Five

Hendricks’ return to full-court, five-on-five basketball is a significant step in his rehabilitation process after suffering a broken fibula and dislocated right ankle after slipping on a wet spot in Dallas.

The former lottery pick made only three appearances for the Jazz before the injury prematurely ended his sophomore season.

In videos provided by SwishCultures and the NBAPA, Hendricks can be seen knocking down a three and playing defense against other NBA players who traveled to Andalucia for the offseason performance summit hosted by The Sanctuary.

In addition to Hendricks and Sensabaugh, Memphis Grizzlies players Jay Huff and Jaylen Wells, Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell, twins Amen and Ausar Thompson, Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown, and several others were in attendance for the offseason runs.

Hendricks was unable to participate in the Jazz’s summer league rosters in Salt Lake City and Vegas, as he wasn’t fully cleared to return to the floor. However, he is expected to return for training camp this fall.

The Central Florida product has career averages of 7.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 43 appearances.

Sensabaugh appeared in just two games during the Salt Lake City Summer League, where he averaged 28 points per game while leading the Jazz to an unblemished record.

The Ohio State product averaged 14.1 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the three-point line on 6.7 attempts per game in 27 appearances after the All-Star break.
