Former American Fork Star Makes First Touchdown Catch Of Career

PROVO, Utah – Former American Fork Caveman Noah Moeaki is making a name for himself in BYU’s tight end room after scoring his first career touchdown in the first half against Portland State.
The BYU Cougars began the 2025 season by hosting the Portland State Vikings at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday, August 30.

On second-&-4 from the five-yard line, Bear Bachmeier took the snap and rolled to his right.
Moeaki ran his route along the back end of the goal line and created enough of a window for Bachmeier to split two defenders for his second passing TD of the day.
BYU started slowly, but has scored six touchdowns since the 3:58 point of the first quarter.
The Cougars lead 42-0 with 3:29 left in the half.
About Noah Moeaki
The 6’3, 245-pound tight end redshirted with BYU in 2024. He finished his prep career with 89 catches for 1,095 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Moeaki served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (2022-24) in Belem, Brazil.

Noah’s father, John, played linebacker at BYU (1994). Uncles John Moeaki and Harvey Unga each played for BYU. Unga is BYU’s current running backs coach. His mother, Keilani, played basketball at BYU and is currently the BYU women’s basketball director of operations.
