Bachmeier Brothers Spearhead BYU Scoring Drive

PROVO, Utah – Tiger Bachmeier returned a punt 44 yards, putting BYU in scoring position, and his brother Bear helped the offense find the end zone for the second time to lead 24-0. Sione Moa capped the drive with his first rushing score of the year.
BYU is hosting the Stanford Cardinal at LaVell Edwards Stadium for the second time in program history on Saturday, September 6.

Regular punt returner Parker Kingston fumbled for the second time in as many weeks, opening the door for Tiger to get a chance at returning punts.
The elder BYU Bachmeier found the edge on the right side and raced 44 yards into Cardinal territory before being dragged down at the 43.
Bear ran for nine yards and then completed two passes to move the Cougars into the red zone. Sione Moa capped the drive with an eight-yard rumble.
BYU’s defense has held Stanford to 38 net yards in nearly three quarters. The Cardinal have -11 rushing yards and the Cougar pass defense has held Stanford QB Ben Gulbransen to 52 yards on 9-of-16 passings.
The Cougars lead 24-0 entering the final quarter.
