SALT LAKE CITY – The second week of the 2025 NFL season is just about in the books, with only the two Monday Night Football games remaining. Players with local ties made their mark all over the league in week 2.
Every local NFL player who recorded a stat, with the top performances highlighted, or helped their team pick up a win can be found in our weekly roundup.
Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season begins on September 18 as the Bills host the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

NFL Locals’ Week 2: Top Performances, All Stats, And More
Top Local NFL Performances
- Two local receivers on the Saints, Weber State’s Rashid Shaheed and Utah’s Devaughn Vele, got in the end zone in week two. Shaheed had four receptions for 52 yards and a TD. Vele had one catch for three yards and a TD.
- Former BYU linebacker Fred Warner had 11 tackles (seven solo), one tackle for loss, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in the 49ers’ win over the Saints in week two.
- East High star Jaylen Warren shone both on the ground and in the passing game against Seattle. He took 14 carries for 48 yards and added four receptions for 86 yards.
- Former BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua caught eight passes for 91 yards and scored on a 45-yard rush in the first quarter of the Rams’ win over the Titans.
- Former BYU running back Tyler Allgeier took 16 carries for 76 yards and scored the Falcons’ only touchdown in a win over the Vikings on Sunday Night Football.

- Former Utah linebacker Mohamoud Diabate had one tackle in the Browns’ loss to the Ravens.
- Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy posted one solo tackle and one quarterback hit against Cleveland.
- Former BYU punter Ryan Rehkow punted three times and netted 166 yards as the Bengals squeaked out a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- Former Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd recorded five total tackles (two solo), one pass breakup, and one quarterback hit in week two.
- Former Utah cornerback Jaylon Johnson had two solo tackles in his season debut.
- Orem High standout linebacker Noah Sewell posted five total tackles (three solo) and a tackle for loss against Detroit.
- Two former Utes on the Bills, tight end Dalton Kincaid and safety Cole Bishop, got in the stat sheet against the Jets in week two. Kincaid had four receptions for 37 yards. Bishop led the defense in tackles with five (four solo) and added one sack, one tackle for loss, and another QB hit.
- Highland High tight end Jackson Hawes grabbed one reception for five yards in Buffalo’s win.
- Former Southern Utah safety Miles Killebrew had two solo tackles in the Steelers’ week two loss.
- Former Utah linebacker Cody Barton had five tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup in week two.
- Former Utah linebacker Jonah Elliss posted one solo tackle, one tackle for loss, and a quarterback hit in week two.
- Kearns High standout linebacker Jeffrey Bassa recorded the first stats of his career in week two with two solo tackles.
- Judge Memorial High linebacker Kaden Elliss posted four total tackles (two solo) and a quarterback hit for the Falcons on SNF.
- Bingham High tight end Dalton Schultz grabbed three receptions for 29 yards in Houston’s heartbreaking Monday Night Football loss.
- Former Utah defensive tackle Leki Fotu had two tackles (one solo) and a tackle for loss on Monday Night.
- Orem High standout Alohi Gilman posted three total tackles (two solo) and two pass breakups in a win over Las Vegas.

- Desert Hills star Penei Sewell and the Lions’ offensive line didnt allow any sacks in Detroit’s blowout win over Chicago.
- Herriman High offensive lineman Andre James and the Chargers improved to 2-0 with a 20-9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday.
