Wayshawn Parker Shows Off Hops, Clears Wyoming Defender With Hurdle

LARAMIE, Wyo. – The Utah football offense got out to a slow start against Wyoming, but running back Wayshawn Parker looked to give the team a boost with a highlight.
On a rush near midfield, Parker hurdled a Cowboys defender in full stride to pick up a first down.

To that point in the game, the 16 yards on that rush were Parker’s only yards on the ground. He also had one reception for four yards.
The score sat at 3-0. Both of the Utes’ first two drives stalled out and ended in two field goal attempts. The first was made, and the second was wide to the right.
Utah’s third drive ended with a similar result. Penalties forced the Utes into a third FG attempt. The 45-yarder bounced off the upright.
Utes Close Non-Conference Schedule Against Wyoming Cowboys
The No. 20 Utah football team closes its non-conference schedule today against a familiar foe, the Wyoming Cowboys.
The Utes haven’t played any out-of-state opponent more than the Cowboys in the program’s history. However, the last time the schools met on the gridiron was back in 2010 when they were both members of the Mountain West Conference.
Dating back to 1904, Utah has an 18-19 record in Laramie. But they have won three of the last four on the road and eight of the last nine overall in the series.
