SALT LAKE CITY – Utah football jumped up four spots from No. 20 to No. 16 in the week four AP Top 25 poll, which was released on Sunday.
In each week of the poll since week one, the Utes have steadily climbed. They were ranked 25th after the UCLA game, and then jumped to 20th and now 16th.

Utah is now 3-0 after a win over the Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie in week three.
The first half of the game was sloppy to say the least. After a slew of penalties and missed field goals, the Utes led 3-0. After that wake-up call, they shot out of the gates in the second half and eventually cruised to a 31-6 win.
Quarterback Devon Dampier completed 27 of 41 pass attempts for 230 yards and two touchdowns and added 86 yards with his legs. Larry Simmons, JJ Buchanan, Hunter Andrews, and NaQuari Rogers were the touchdown scorers in week three.
The Rest of The Big 12 Rankings
Utah is one of three Big 12 Conference teams ranked in week four, and all of them are within six spots of each other.
Iowa State is the highest of the bunch, coming in at No. 12. Texas Tech sits one spot behind Utah at No. 17.
With 94 votes, BYU sits one spot outside of the top 25 after enjoying a bye week. TCU (67), Arizona State (57), and Baylor (6) are the other schools in the conference to receive votes.
