SALT LAKE CITY – With Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff coming to Utah this weekend, Dave Portnoy is visiting the Beehive State for the first time.
In his first social media posts while in SLC, he praised the Utes’ campus store and also stopped by a few pizza places.
Utah gets the award for best bookstore I’ve been in so far. Tons of cool stuff. The thing you gotta know about me is I’m gonna drop 500 to 1000 in every book store I go in and probably never wear any of it once I leave campus but I get caught in the hype everytime. #utes

His post about Utah’s book and merchandise store read:
Utah gets the award for best bookstore I’ve been in so far. Tons of cool stuff. The thing you gotta know about me is I’m gonna drop 500 to 1000 in every book store I go in and probably never wear any of it once I leave campus but I get caught in the hype everytime. #Utes
In later posts, he was seen wearing a Utah shirt as well as different Utes hats.
Thirty minutes before sharing that on X, he posted a picture from the Pie Pizzeria next to the University of Utah campus.

He was also pictured at the Villaggio a couple of hours later. The restaurant posted a picture of him on Instagram with the caption “Dave Portnoy here at Villaggio Pizzeria!”
Portnoy’s famed pizza reviews always cause a stir, with people recommending their favorite places before he’s in town and then giving their own thoughts on his taste after he gives his score.
Earlier this summer, Fox Sports and Barstool agreed to a partnership that combined the platforms’ sports presence. Portnoy was added to the Big Noon Kickoff show as an analyst as part of this partnership.
