SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 3 Skyridge Falcons scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to secure a come-from-behind victory over the No. 8 Lehi Pioneers in week six of 6A high school football on Thursday.
Heading into the fourth quarter, the Pioneers led 38-28. In the final quarter, the Skyridge defense stonewalled Lehi, and the offense scored two touchdowns to come out on top, 42-38.
The two late scores were both goal-line rushing TDs from Kaneal Sweetwyne and Lincoln Tahi. Tahi finished with two touchdowns on the ground.

Week 6 Recap For 6A Utah High School Football
Region 1
Layton Lancers 7 @ No. 11 Syracuse Titans 52
The Syracuse Titans scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters and coasted to a blowout week six win over the Layton Lancers. Five of Syracuse’s seven touchdowns came on the ground. Both Ryker Van Komen and Ledger Wight found the end zone twice.
Weber Warriors 35 @ Farmington Phoenix 31
The Weber Warriors squeaked out a four-point win over the Farmington Phoenix on Friday. Trailing 31-28 in the fourth quarter, running back Dyson Parker ran in the game-winner with two minutes left to put the Warriors on top. Parker finished with three rushing TDs for the game.
Region 2
No. 19 Westlake Thunder 16 @ No. 10 Herriman Mustangs 47
After going down 10-8 in the opening quarter, the Herriman Mustangs put their foot on the gas and sped past the Westlake Thunder on Friday. Herriman scored 25 unanswered in the second quarter and tacked on 14 more in the third. Quarterback Tyler Messer had three total touchdowns, two with his arm and one with his elg. Isaac Larson and Filisi Filipe both had two rushing scores.
Riverton Silverwolves 26 @ Bingham Miners 28
The Bingham Miners shocked the Riverton Silverwolves to pick up their first win of the season in week six. Bingham scored one touchdown in each quarter, and the consistent attack proved too much for Riverton, who failed to put points on the board in the third quarter.
Cedar Valley Aviators 27 @ Copper Hills Grizzlies 24
The Cedar Valley Aviators were another team to pick up their first win of the season in Region 2 in week six. Trailing 24-21 going into the fourth, a Marshall West rushing touchdown with about four minutes left gave the Aviators a lead they wouldn’t let go of.
Region 3
No. 1 Corner Canyon Chargers 21 @ No. 2 Lone Peak Knights 42
The battle of heavyweights saw the Lone Peak Knights hand the Corner Canyon Chargers their first loss of the season on Friday. Lone Peak scored 14 points in the first, second, and fourth quarters. Corner Canyon went scoreless after halftime. Knights quarterback Cruz Christensen threw four passing touchdowns, three of which went to Jaron Pula.

No. 17 Box Elder Bees (5A) 7 @ No. 13 Mountain Ridge Sentinels 61
The Mountain Ridge Sentinels scored 30 points in the first quarter of their blowout victory over the Box Elder Bees on Friday. They followed that with 14 points in the second and third quarters. Quarterback Jaxon Hunt threw five passing touchdowns to four different receivers in the win.
No. 7 Davis Darts 29 @ No. 6 American Fork Cavemen 15
The Davis Darts stunned the previously undefeated American Fork Cavemen on their home field in week six. After opening the game with 10 unanswered points, Davis more or less held onto its advantage and sailed to the finish line. Darts quarterback Tradon Bessinger threw four touchdowns in the win.
