SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake scored two first-half goals and added a third in the second 45, taking Austin FC down 3-1 to earn three points.
RSL (11-16-4, 37 points) hosted Austin FC (12-11-8, 44 points) at America First Field on Saturday, September 27.

First Half
Real Salt Lake controlled possession in the opening 20 minutes as both teams adjusted to the pace.
Diogo Gonçalves was credited with the first shot on goal when keeper Brad Stuver knocked away his 22nd-minute, right-footed attempt at the bottom right corner.
Seconds before stoppage time, Braian Ojeda scored from outside the box on a shot assisted by Justen Glad.

Minutes later, stoppage time yielded DeAndre Yedlin’s first RSL goal in the 50th minute.

The Calret & Cobalt went into the halftime locker room with a 2-0 lead after dominating the first half.
Second Half
RSL held serve for the first 30 minutes of the second half before breaking through for a third goal.
Victor Olatunji’s brace gave the home side a 3-0 lead with less than eight minutes of regulation remaining.

Besard Sabovic scored Austin’s only goal in stoppage time, leading to the 3-1 finish.
