SALT LAKE CITY — The Timpanogos Timberwolves put it all on the line and were rewarded with a 29-28 win over the Mountain View Bruins in week eight of 4A high school football on Friday.
In the final minute of the fourth quarter, the Bruins punched in six to make it a 28-21 game. The Timberwolves marched down the field in about 50 seconds, and with two ticks left on the clock they got into the end zone.
Timpanogos opted to go for two and were rewarded, converting and securing the one-point victory.

Region 8
Provo Bulldogs 17 @ Park City Miners 14
With the NFL Thursday Night Football crew in attendance, the Provo Bulldogs secured a come-from-behind victory over the Park City Miners. The Miners went up 14-3 in the first quarter. Provo scored a touchdown in the second quarter to make it 14-10. After a scoreless third quarter, Malik Filimoeatu punched in six for the second time to put the Bulldogs out in front.
Salem Hills Skyhawks 42 @ Uintah Utes 28
The Salem Hills Skyhawks put up at least one touchdown in each quarter of their win over the Uintah Utes on Friday. Quarterback Ryder Hales had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns. They put the cherry on top of their win with a Gordon Wilson pick-six in the final minutes.
Region 9
Dixie Flyers 7 @ No. 14 Crimson Cliffs Mustangs 35
The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs continued to steamroll through the region as they picked up a comfortable win over the Dixie Flyers in week eight. Quarterback Tanoai Andresen had three scores, two through the air and one on the ground. Receiver Jaxson Holt had two TDs as well.
Desert Hills Thunder 16 @ Pine View Panthers 23
The Pine View Panthers held off a late push from the Desert Hills Thunder to improve to 6-2 in week eight. After a scoreless first quarter, the Panthers scored 10 points in the second and third quarters. Desert Hills tacked on 13 in the fourth, but it was too little, too late.
Snow Canyon Warriors 24 @ Hurricane Tigers 38
The Hurricane Tigers proved that consistent offense is better than surges of success as they beat the Snow Canyon Warriors on Friday. The Warriors scored all 24 of their points in the second quarter. But at least one score in each quarter, and 24 points in the second half, propelled Hurricane to the win.
Region 11
Mountain Crest Mustangs 56 @ Bear River Bears 0
The Mountain Crest Mustangs scored an eye-popping 35 points in the second quarter of their win over the Bear River Bears on Friday. Maybe most impressively, all eight of the Mustangs’ touchdowns came from a different player. Four came on the ground and four through the air.

No. 23 Sky View Bobcats 55 @ Deseret Peak Golden Eagles 0
The Sky View Bobcats surpassed the 50-point threshold while shutting out the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles in week eight. Bobcats quarterback Jack Clark threw five touchdowns; three of the five went to Zachary Oxborrow.
Green Canyon Wolves 28 @ Tooele Buffaloes 0
The Green Canyon Wolves scored all 28 points in the first half of their win over the Tooele Buffaloes in week eight. All four TDs came from a different player. Two came on the ground, one through the air, and the last was a 65-yard pick-six from Jaxon Calderwood.

Skyline Eagles 53 @ East Leopards 21
The Skyline Eagles dropped a 50-bomb in their win over the East Leopards in week eight on Friday. After the first quarter ended in a 7-7 tie, Skyline took off, scoring double-digit poijts in each of the final three quarters. Quarterback Xavier Cocci called his own number over and over, finishing with four rushing touchdowns.
Jordan Beetdiggers 33 @ Cottonwood Colts 0
The Jordan Beetdiggers took care of business against the winless Cottonwood Colts to secure their second victory of the year. Jordan’s five touchdowns consisted of four rushing scores and a pick-six.
Juan Diego Soaring Eagle 0 @ Highland Rams 42
The Highland Rams scored 35 of their 42 points in the first half of their win over the Juan Diego Soaring Eagle on Friday. Running back Vili Ripley had a hat trick of rushing touchdowns against Juan Diego. Quarterback Manase Wolfgramm had one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown.
