BYU Field Storming Turns Into Local Lunch Debt Donation

PROVO, Utah – When BYU fans stormed the field following a dramatic 24-21 Holy War win over the Utah Utes, Crumbl CEO Jason McGowan stepped up to pay any fine assessed by the Big 12.
With no fine imposed, McGowan announced that money will now benefit the program through NIL funding.

“BYU fine update,” McGowan posted on X. “So here’s the play: instead of a fine, that money’s going straight to our players through an NIL.”
The deluxe cookie magnate also announced some exciting news for many families in the local community.

“And because of your overwhelming support and inspired by Kalani’s love for his opponents, every bit of student lunch debt in the Provo City and Salt Lake City school districts for all schools was wiped out this morning,” McGowan said. “Love you, Cougar Nation.”

“I don’t think we were going to keep them off the field tonight,” BYU safety Tanner Wall, who had an interception in the win over Utah, said of the field storming. “We already got someone ready to pay the fine. So we’re good. Don’t worry about that.”
