BYU Football Availability Report Entering Big 12 Championship Game

ARLINGTON, Texas – Entering the Big 12 Championship Game against Texas Tech, BYU football is relatively healthy.
The mandated Big 12 availability report highlights that.
Only one player is officially ruled “OUT” for BYU heading into the matchup, where the Cougars likely need to win to reach the Big 12 Championship Game.
That player is linebacker Max Alford. Alford has been sidelined since suffering an injury against TCU on November 15.

On the positive side, star wide receiver Chase Roberts is expected to play. Roberts is listed as “Probable” for this week’s game.
The senior pass catcher spoke with the media earlier this week after Kalani Sitake signed a long-term contract extension, and Roberts is ready to go for the game.
Last week, after BYU’s win over UCF, head coach Kalani Sitake said that Roberts would be available in the rematch against the Red Raiders.
Another player trending towards a return is running back Sione Moa.
Moa is listed as “Probable” this week. He hasn’t played since BYU’s win over East Carolina on September 20.
Among the notables on the Texas Tech side of the availability report is quarterback Behren Morton.
The veteran signal-caller is listed as “Probable” entering the Championship Game.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Morton was no longer practicing with a boot. It was the first time he didn’t have a boot on since he suffered an injury on October 11.
