Jordan Love, Packers Fall Short In Denver
The game started well for Green Bay.
The offense wasn’t firing just yet, but the defense was, as they held Bo Nix and the Denver offense scoreless in the first quarter. Brandon McManus nailed a 53-yard field goal to make it 3-0.
He followed that with a 26-yarder to open the second. The Broncos quickly responded with a passing touchdown to take a one-point advantage.
Finally, after 25 minutes of action, Love got on the board with a 14-yard pass to running back Josh Jacobs for six.

Once again, the Denver offense was quick to respond with Nix’s second passing TD of the game.
Green Bay went into the two-minute drill and was able to make it into Denver territory. McManus drilled a field goal from 35 yards out with zeroes on the clock.
Exactly one minute into the second half, Jacobs did it again, finding a lane and rumbling for a 40-yard score.

That was when things started to go downhill for the Packers.
The Broncos would make it into the end zone on all three of their ensuing drives. A fourth McManus field goal left Green Bay trailing by eight with seven minutes left.
While one side got hot, the other went cold. Green Bay’s final three drives ended in an interception and two turnovers on downs.
As a result, Denver held on for the 34-26 win.

In 2020, the Packers traded up to select Love with the No. 26 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
