Kalani Sitake Devours Pop-Tart To Celebrate BYU’s Pop-Tarts Bowl Victory

Kalani Sitake is a happy man after BYU football defeated Georgia Tech in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

BYU stormed back from a 21-10 deficit to take down the Yellow Jackets 25-21.

Kalani Sitake celebrated the BYU Pop-Tarts Bowl victory

The victory was capped off by Evan Johnson intercepting Georgia Tech’s Haynes King to seal the victory for BYU.

After BYU sealed the win, it was time to celebrate with some Pop-Tarts. Kalani Sitake was ready to party.

BYU players gave Sitake a shower of Pop-Tarts minis after the win, followed by a Gatorade bath. Then, Sitake went to the podium for the trophy presentation.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl trophy is a toaster. At the podium, Pop-Tarts were toasting within the trophy while Sitake was talking to ESPN’s Quint Kessenich.

After the talking was over, the Pop-Tarts emerged from the toaster trophy. Sitake was ready to celebrate.

BYU takes down Georgia Tech

The 10th-year head coach, who earlier this month signed a long-term extension at his alma mater, grabbed the Pop-Tart fresh out of the toaster and proceeded to devour the treat.

When the Pop-Tarts Bowl matchup was announced earlier this month, Sitake said there wasn’t a Pop-Tarts flavor he didn’t like. He showed off his love for Pop-Tarts in that postgame celebration.

BYU football closed out the season with a 12-2 record. It’s the first time BYU has reached 12 wins in a season since 2001.

Kalani Sitake is now 6-2 in bowl games during his tenure as BYU’s head coach. The Cougars have now won three consecutive bowl games.
