Coveted Two-Way Fremont Athlete Chooses Michigan After Short Stint At Utah

SALT LAKE CITY – Salesi Moa, a two-way star at Fremont High School and one of the top-rated athletes in the 2026 class, is signing with Kyle Whittingham and the Michigan Wolverines.
Following a week of classes at the University of Utah, the Region 5 MVP submitted his name in the transfer portal before ever suiting up for Morgan Scalley’s team.

Moa is expected to be a contributor on both sides of the football for Michigan as a defensive back and wide receiver.
Moa was originally committed to Tennessee but flipped to Utah in December.

Standing 6-foot-2 and athletic enough to play both ways, Moa was long coveted by the Utes. The coaching staff made a strong push to bring him back home after he originally picked Tennessee in July, and their relentless relationship-building paid off when it counted most.
