In this week’s edition of Cougar Sports Saturday, BYU Insider Mitch Harper takes a deep dive into the now-closed transfer portal. He breaks down which players departed BYU, which newcomers joined the program, and the remaining roster needs for the 2026 football team.
Mitch also looks ahead to next season, discussing whether BYU’s defense in 2026 could surpass this year’s unit, along with a major rule change coming to college football.
Later in the show, Jeff Hansen of Cougar Sports Insider and the 247Sports network joins the conversation to talk all things BYU football.
The focus then shifts to the hardwood, as Mitch reflects on Jimmer Fredette’s jersey retirement and previews a marquee matchup between No. 11 BYU and No. 16 Texas Tech.
