Utah State Suffocates Wyoming In Spectrum Blowout

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies put their recent struggles behind them while issuing a thorough beating to the Wyoming Cowboys in a 94-62 win.
USU (17-3, 8-2, 3rd in MW) hosted the Cowboys (12-9, 3-7, 9th in MW) at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Wednesday, January 28.

Tonight’s game was the fifth time this season that USU has scored 90 or more points in Mountain West play.
The Aggies are 12-0 when scoring more than 80 points this season and 27-0 when accomplishing the feat under Jerrod Calhoun.
Utah State and Wyoming conclude their Mountain West matchups on Saturday, February 7, when USU travels northeast to Laramie, Wyoming. The Aggies are 40-52 all-time against Wyoming, but have won seven straight and 13 of the past 15 in the series.

Kolby King paces Aggies in win over Wyoming Cowboys
Senior guard Kolby King made 6-of-9 shots, including four threes, finishing with a season-high 20 points.
The well-traveled 6’1 guard added a team-high seven rebounds, while adding two assists and a block in 25 minutes off the bench.

Garry Clark joined King in coming off the bench, adding 13 points while missing just one shot. Tucker Anderson drained three shots from deep on his way to 11 points for the second unit.
Calhoun’s bench outscored the Cowboy starters 54-49.

Freshman Adlan Elamin continues to blossom as a starter.
The 6’9 Virginia native scored nine points, added five rebounds, and dished out five assists in 22 minutes.
Mason Falslev (11 points, five assists, four boards) and MJ Collins Jr. (12 points, four assists) led the starting five in the blowout.
Collins Jr. has reached double-figure scoring in each of the past 17 games.
