Denver Broncos select Dallen Bentley in 7th round of 2026 NFL draft

PITTSBURGH — The Denver Broncos’ connection with the University of Utah continued Saturday.
The Broncos selected former Utah tight end Dallen Bentley with the 40th pick of the seventh round (No. 256 overall) in the final round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Bentley is the third player selected from the University of Utah, joining first round teammates Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu.

The NFL Draft was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from April 23–25. The event was televised on ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network.

Bentley was the Utes’ second tight end selected by the Broncos in back-to-back years, after former Utah football and basketball player Caleb Lohner was a seventh round pick in 2025.
About Dallen Bentley
After a standout high school career in Taylorsville, Utah, Bentley started his collegiate career at Snow College.
As a freshman, he caught eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. He was named to the NJCAA All-America second-team.
Bentley transferred to Utah in 2023, but didn’t produce much in his first two seasons with the Utes, totaling just three catches for 20 yards as a sophomore and junior.
Almost out of nowhere, he broke out in 2025. With 12 starts in 13 games as a senior, Bentley posted 48 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns. His production earned him All-Big 12 Third Team honors and was also a John Mackey Award semifinalist.
