The Bulldogs are leaving the Mountain West Conference and joining the Pac-12 on July 1.
Perry is the fourth former BYU player in the 2026 transfer portal cycle to find a new landing spot. The others include center Xavion Staton (Oregon State), wing Dominique Diomande (Pitt), and guard Aleksej Kostic (Northwestern).

Perry signed with BYU out of Citrus College last November as the No. 1 JUCO recruit in the country. He joined the program at midyear and was enrolled in the winter semester. Perry redshirted this past season, not appearing in any games.
At the time of his signing last November, BYU head coach Kevin Young complimented Perry’s scoring and ability to create for his teammates as a combo guard.
The Southfield, Michigan, native has three years of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.
Perry was initially committed to Cal State Northridge after graduating from Southern California Academy, before pivoting to the JUCO path at Citrus College. Then he had a four-month stop at BYU. And now he’s off to Fresno State.
The only former BYU players who entered the transfer portal this year and haven’t found new landing spots yet include center Abdullah “Bido” Ahmed, guard Tyler Mrus, and wing Kennard Davis Jr. Davis put his name on the early-entry list for the 2026 NBA Draft. Still, he does have the option to withdraw from the NBA Draft process and return to college basketball.
