For the second time over their first three seasons of existence, the Utah Mammoth will welcome the Chicago Blackhawks to the Delta Center for their 2026-27 home opener.
After defeating the Chicago 5-2 in their inaugural home opener in 2024, the Hawks will return to Salt Lake City on Oct. 1, 2026, to face the Mammoth at 7 p.m. MT.
Overall, Utah is 2-0-0 all-time in home openers, also defeating the Calgary Flames to begin the 2025-26 campaign on home ice.
Immediately following Utah’s home opener, the Mammoth will then begin a five-game road trip as they face the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres.
Upon returning home for a collection of home games, Utah will then take to the road again as they play 13 of their first 20 games of the season away from Delta Center.
Their longest road trip of the season will take place in early November as they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators and Vegas Golden Knights.
Scheduled for Dec. 31, 2026, the Utah Mammoth will host the 18th NHL Winter Classic at Rice Eccles Stadium, which regularly houses University of Utah Football games amongst other events.
The Mammoth will welcome the Colorado Avalanche to Salt Lake City for a Central Division matchup.
The game will feature some of the NHL’s premier talent as Clayton Keller, Logan Cooley, and Dylan Guenther face off against Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Gabriel Landeskog.
Hosting 24 of their 42 home games over the second half of the season, January will feature the Mammoth’s longest home stand (six games) as they welcome the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators to Delta Center from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2.
The Mammoth will conclude the 2026-27 season with four home games in April before wrapping things up on a final two-game road trip against the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues to complete their 84-game schedule.
