OGDEN — Isaia Fonotisatele is only a freshman, but the Fremont three-way player made a name for himself Friday night.
Fonotisatele caught two touchdown passes and added another score on a 55-yard punt return as the Silverwolves got out to a 21-3 halftime lead and never looked back in a 34-3 rivalry win over Weber to open the 2026 Utah high school football season on Game Night Live.
“Saia is my little cousin, and he’s been like that,” said Fremont linebacker Aisa Tuatagaloa, who had one of the Silverwolves’ three interceptions. “Even as a freshman, they counted him out — but he’s good. He’s the real deal.”

Fonotisatele lifted the lid off the scoring with a 73-yard touchdown from quarterback Calvin Cooper to lift the Silverwolves to a 7-0 lead.
Ryder Wade doubled the advantage with a 47-yard run with 1:12 left in the first quarter, and Fonotisatele rattled off a 55-yard punt returner midway through the second to stretch Fremont’s lead to 21-3 by halftime.
Wade scored his second touchdown of the game with a 4-yard run to open the third quarter, and Tuatagaloa’s interception set up another to stretch the lead to 34-3 with 8:27 left in the fourth.
Sam Rasmussen added a third interception for the Silverwolves with 3:36 remaining to help Fremont seal the win with its defense.
“We were really overlooked going into the season,” Tuatagaloa said. “All summer, we put in work. Our defense was stout. We tried to tell them; they tried to count us out, but we like our defense. We like to be grimy.”
Fremont hosts Davis next Friday, Aug. 21 while hosts Brighton in the Warriors’ home opener.
