SALT LAKE CITY – The Hercules Salt Lake County High School Player of the Week is celebrating the best high school football player in Salt Lake County. Presented by Hercules First Federal Credit Union, each week we honor athletes for their exceptional performance on the gridiron. Our winner this week was Mountain Ridge High School wide receiver Kohen Cunningham.

Salt Lake County Player of the Week – Kohen Cunningham, Mountain Ridge
Cunningham and Mountain Ridge High School were on the road last at Riverton High School in Region 2 action. Cunningham got off to to a quick start, hauling in two touchdown passes from Jaxon Hunt as the Sentinels rolled out to a 24-0 halftime lead. It’s was just the start of a record-breaking night.
Riverton carved into Mountain Ridge’s lead in the third quarter but a third touchdown pass to Cunningham restored order for the Sentinels. He went on to add a fourth touchdown reception in the four quarter to ensure Mountain Ridge’s 41-19 victory to remain unbeaten in region play. Cunningham went on to set program record for single game receptions (15), yards (301), and touchdowns (4) as Mountain Ridge moved to 5-2 on the season.
