Caitlin Peirce leads Copper Rock Championship after Round 2

HURRICANE, Utah – Low scores and a crowded leaderboard highlight the Copper Rock Championship after two rounds.
Australia’s Caitlin Pierce fired a two-under 70 on Friday to top the field heading into the final day.
The Copper Rock Championship is being held at Copper Rock Golf Course in Hurricane, Utah, on May 14-16, 2026.

Fiona Xu (New Zealand) and Maddie Szeryk-DiBello (Canada) finished the day (-9). Julia Gregg is the first American on the board at eight under.
Gianna Clemente (USA) shot a second-round best 64, but enters Saturday as one of six golfers who enter the final day at minus-six.
Caitlin Peirce paces LPGA field in Hurricane
Peirce stormed to a first-round lead after shooting a scintillating 64 on Thursday.
Friday’s round wasn’t quite as favorable, but that didn’t stop Peirce from leading 49 competitors who made the cut into the final day.
Her (-2) round was highlighted by four birdies. The low point came on the tenth hole with a double-bogey
Xu had a spectacular round with seven birdies.
Clemente’s eight-under 64 included eagles on the first and 16th holes. She added five birdies and a bogey to end the round.
