BYU WR Aleva Hifo Signs Free Agent Contract With Kansas City Chiefs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU wide receiver Aleva Hifo has found a landing spot with an NFL franchise. The former BYU receiver/kick returner signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Aleva Hifo: Collegiate Career
A three-star recruit out of Menifee, California, Hifo played four consecutive years at BYU. Drew praise from former BYU offensive coordinator Ty Detmer as a true freshman for his playmaking abilities.
In four years with the Cougars, Hifo had 118 receptions for 1,336 yards and seven touchdowns. Hifo excelled as a slot receiver and was utilized in jet sweeps often the past two seasons in BYU’s offense.
For the first three years in Hifo’s career at BYU, he was one of the Cougars primary kick return specialists. In 2019, Hifo was BYU’s top punt return specialist.
One of Hifo’s signature moments was a 70-yard touchdown reception against Western Michigan in the 2018 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl where he was able to showcase his speed.
