Buffalo DL Lotulelei Picks Off Dallas QB Prescott For First Career INT

DALLAS, Texas – Former Utah and current Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Star Lotulelei picked off Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott for the first interception of his NFL career.
Lotulelei intercepted Prescott late in the second quarter of the Thanksgiving Day game between the Bills and Cowboys on Thursday, November 28.
The Bills’ lineman picked off Prescott in Dallas territory with five and a half minutes left on the clock until halftime.

Lotulelei’s pick came with the game tied at 7-7. Unfortunately for Buffalo fans, the new possession ended in a missed field goal.
The Bills would score later in the quarter to make it 13-7 Buffalo at halftime.
The former Utah DL went into the break with a pass breakup and the interception on his stat line.

Lotulelei had never recorded an interception in the 103 NFL games he’d played in prior to Thanksgiving. He’d never recorded a pick while playing for the Utes in college either.
He entered the Thanksgiving Day game having played 11 games this season. In 2019, Lotulelei has recorded 8 solo tackles and 2 sacks.
The former Ute was selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. In his seven NFL seasons, Lotuleilei has played for the Panthers (2013-17) and the Bills (2018-19).
