Former Bingham High Star Dalton Schultz Scores First NFL Touchdown In Cowboys’ Win

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Bingham High School and current Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz scored his first career NFL touchdown during a win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Schultz and the Cowboys hosted the Falcons for a week two matchup on Sunday, September 20.
With just under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott found Schultz in the back of the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown pass.

After a failed tw0-point conversion, Schultz’s touchdown reception cut the Falcons’ lead to 39-30.

The catch capped a career day for Schultz’s. It was his ninth reception of the game and resulted in 10 of his 88 receiving yards against Atlanta.

The Cowboys got the ball back and quickly scored again. After an onside kick recovery, Dallas kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired to come from behind and beat Atlanta 40-39.
With the win, Schultz and the Cowboys improved to 1-1 on the season.
Schultz started the game at tight end after the Cowboys lost Blake Jarwin to an injury in week one.
In the first game of 2020, Schultz had one catch for 11 yards.
During his three-year NFL career, the tight end has recorded 24 catches for 221 yards.
