SALT LAKE CITY – Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and quarterback Tyler Huntley both expressed confidence in the former Utah standout’s ability to play in the team’s regular season finale.

The duo discussed Huntley’s status for starting in Week 18 on Friday, January 6.

The former Utah standout has been dealing with tendinitis in his shoulder. Because of the injury, Huntley has been limited in practice ahead of Baltimore’s regular season finale.

“I think there’s a really good chance he could play on Sunday,” Harbaugh said of Huntley. “I’m hopeful for that.”

“I feel like I got a good chance to play Sunday,” Huntley added on Friday.

Huntley has started the past four games for the Ravens in place of former NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. On December 4, Huntley replaced Jackson after he suffered a knee injury during Baltimore’s win over the Denver Broncos. Jackson has been ruled out for playing in Week 18.

During his five games played this season, Huntley has helped the Ravens to a 3-2 record.

He’s thrown for 658 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in 2022. Huntley has also run the ball 43 times for 137 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens currently sit in second place in the AFC North division with a 10-6 record. They’ve already clinched a playoff berth ahead of Week 18. Baltimore’s regular season finale is on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, January 8 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on CBS.
