Jaxson Dart Ends Rookie Season On High Note With Win Over Cowboys

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Former Roy and Corner Canyon High quarterback Jaxson Dart ended his first year strong with a 34-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Dart completed 22/32 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. He also scrambled five times for 32 yards.

The first 25 minutes were mostly uneventful, at least for New York.
A handful of field goals had the Giants trailing by one, 10-9, with three minutes left in the first half.
Dart led the offense on an 11-play, 96-yard drive that ended in the team’s first touchdown just before the break.

The first New York drive in the second half had a similar result.
In less than three minutes, Dart found his target across the middle of the field. This time, it was running back Tyrone Tracy in the end zone.
The play made it five games on the season with multiple passing touchdowns for Dart.

In the third quarter, Dallas had a three-and-out and a missed field goal. Heading into the fourth quarter, New York led 24-10.
The Cowboys would make it interesting with a touchdown to close the lead to seven less than a minute into the final quarter.
That’s where the positivity would end though. The next ten minutes saw a Giants field goal, a Cowboys interception, and a game-clinching final Giants TD.

With the win, New York finishes the season at 4-13.
Despite the losing record, the Giants can now look forward to 2026 with a franchise QB, a healthier roster, and the addition of a top-6 pick in the upcoming draft.
About Jaxson Dart
Dart was born in Kaysville, Utah, where he eventually attended Roy High School. He transferred to Corner Canyon before his senior season.
In 2020 with the Chargers, Dart threw for 4,691 yards and a state-record 67 touchdowns. As a four-star prospect, he committed to USC.
He played just six games with the Trojans, where he completed 117 of his 189 pass attempts for 1,353 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions. On the ground, Dart ran the ball 22 times for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Dart packed his bags and traded Los Angeles sunshine for the college football haven that is the SEC and Ole Miss.
He closed out his collegiate career playing in 39 games for the Rebels with 38 starts. He completed 735 of his 1118 attempts for 10,617 yards and 72 touchdowns.
Ole Miss went 28-10 with Dart at the helm, including a Peach Bowl win in 2024 and a Gator Bowl win in 2025.
Dart’s college accolades include Gator Bowl MVP, 2024 Conerly Trophy Winner, 2024 All-America Honorable Mention, 2024 All-SEC First Team, 2024 CFN SEC QB of the Year, 2024 Manning Award Finalist, and 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Finalist.
Dart completed 32-of-47 passes (68.1 percent) for 372 yards and three touchdowns in his first preseason, but more importantly, the rookie signal-caller did not commit a turnover in his first test against NFL defenses.
He entered the regular season as QB2 on the Giants’ depth chart. After a 0-3 start with Russell Wilson under center, the Giants gave Dart his first start in week four.
