Buccaneers select former Snow College DB Keionte Scott in 4th round of NFL Draft

PITTSBURGH — Keionte Scott’s football career began in his hometown of San Diego to the eastern Utah town of Ephraim to Auburn and Miami.
It took a bit longer than some expected, but former Snow College standout will take the next step with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs selected the former Badger star cornerback and return specialist with the 16th pick of the fourth round (No. 116 overall) during the Saturday’s final day of the the 2026 NFL Draft.
Scott spent time with four teams in six seasons of college football across the NJCAA and Division I FBS, including transferring to Houston for the spring of 2025 in between playing stops at Auburn and Miami.
But his collegiate career started at Snow College.

The NFL Draft was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from April 23–25. The event was televised on ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network.

Scott spent two seasons with the Badgers, earning junior college All-American honors in 2020 and 2021 while totaling 54 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions and 16 pass breakups in 14 games.
The 5-foot-11 cornerback moved to Auburn for three seasons, where he also ranked third in the Football Bowl Subdivision with 14.8 yards per punt return in three seasons. Scott then took advantage of an injunction for former junior college players to transfer to Miami, where he started 12 of 14 games at nickel and earned second-team All-ACC honors with 64 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, five sacks, two interceptions returned for a touchdown, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
