SALT LAKE CITY – The eighth week of the 2025 NFL season is just about in the books with only Monday Night Football remaining. Players with local ties made their mark all over the league in week eight.
Every local NFL player who recorded a stat, with the top performances highlighted, or helped their team pick up a win can be found in our weekly roundup.
Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season begins on October 30 as the Dolphins host the Ravens on Thursday Night Football.

NFL Locals’ Week 8: Top Performances, All Stats, And More
Top Local NFL Performances
- Former BYU RB Tyler Allgeier tied his career high for rushing TDs in a season in week eight. He finished with 14 scrimmage yards on four carries and two receptions and ran in Atlanta’s only TD against Miami.
- Judge Memorial High star LB Kaden Elliss led the Falcons’ defense with 12 total tackles (seven solo), two tackles for loss, and a pass breakup.
- Former Roy & Corner Canyon QB Jaxson Dart completed 14 of his 24 pass attempts for 193 yards and one touchdown. He added six carries for 17 yards and a score with his legs.
- Former Utah QB Tyler Huntley completed 17 of his 22 pass attempts for 186 yards and a touchdown. He added eight carries for 53 yards on the ground.
- Former Utah State QB Jordan Love completed 29 of his 37 pass attempts fr 360 yards and three touchdowns, finishing with a 134.2 quarterback rating.
- Former Utah State LB Bobby Wagner posted 10 total tackles (seven solo) and an interception against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

- Former BYU DL Tyler Batty had the best game of his young career on Thursday with three total tackles (two solo) and two tackles for loss.
- Former Utah LB Mohamoud Diabate posted five solo tackles and a tackle for loss against New England.
- Former BYU DT Khyiris Tonga recorded two total tackles (one solo) and a tackle for loss on Sunday.
- Two local tight ends on the Bills, Utah’s Dalton Kincaid and Highland High’s Jackson Hawes, got in the box score against Carolina. Kincaid gained 23 yards on one catch, and Hawes had two receptions for 15 yards.
- Former Utah safety Cole Bishop had seven total tackles (three solo) in week eight.
- Former Weber State CB Taron Johnson made four total tackles (two solo) for Buffalo.
- Orem High LB Noah Sewell posted five total tackles (three solo) against Baltimore.
- Former BYU LB Kyle Van Noy had two total tackles (one solo), a tackle for loss, and a quarterback hit against the Bears.
- Orem High safety Alohi Gilman recorded five total tackles (three solo) and a pass breakup.
- Bingham High standout TE Dalton Schults had two receptions for 24 yards against the 49ers.
- Former BYU QB Taysom Hill had 12 scrimmage yards on two rushes and one reception against Tampa Bay.
- Former Weber State WR Rashid Shaheed led New Orleans in receiving with nine catches for 75 yards.
- Former Utah WR Devaughn Vele had one reception for 10 yards.
- Two former Utes on the Denver defense, LB Karene Reid and LB Jonah Elliss, recorded some tackles against the Cowboys. Reid had one solo, and Elliss had two total (one solo).
- Former Utah LB Cody Barton had three total tackles (two solo), a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup against Indianapolis.
- East High RB Jaylen Warren took 13 carries for 62 yards against Green Bay. He also had two catches for 11 yards.
- Kearns High LB Jeffrey Bassa posted four total tackles (two solo) against Kansas City on MNF.

Secured The Win
- Herriman High standout offensive lineman Andre James and the Los Angeles Chargers blew out the Minnesota Vikings, 37-10, on Thursday Night Football.
- Former Utah offensive lineman Garett Bolles and the Denver Broncos blew out the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
- Two former BYU Cougars on the Chiefs, head coach Andy Reid and offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia, helped Kansas City pick up a big win over the Commanders.
