Locals In The NFL: Week Four Player Power Rankings

With the fifth week of the NFL season on tap, it’s time for the fifth edition of our NFL locals player power rankings.
Only two undefeated teams remain, but countless players are making their mark week in and week out.
Here’s where our rankings stand heading into week five.

KSL Sports Locals In The NFL Power Rankings
Beginning this NFL season, we’ll post weekly player power rankings that shift as players make their mark.
These rankings are subjective — comparing offensive linemen to defensive backs, and quarterbacks to linebackers will never be perfect.
Early in the season, past production is somewhat taken into account alongside what we’ve seen so far and expectations for the rest of the season. Enough build-up, let’s get to the list.
Honorable Mentions
These are players who are in the mix but on the outside looking in. An argument can be made for each one of these guys, but they failed to make the top ten for one reason or another.
Taron Johnson (Weber State, Bills CB), Kyle Van Noy (BYU, Ravens LB), Jackson Hawes (Highland High, Bills TE), Jonah Elliss (Utah, Broncos LB), Cody Barton (Utah, Titans LB), Clark Phillips III (Utah, Falcons CB), Dalton Schultz (Bingham High, Texans TE), Taysom Hill (BYU, Saints TE), Kaden Elliss (Judge Memorial High, Falcons LB)
Two former Utes, cornerback Jaylon Johnson and safety Julian Blackmon, would make the top ten but have been ruled out for the foreseeable future with injuries.
Now onto the rankings.

10. Jaylen Warren – East High – Steelers RB
Despite not playing in the week four game in Dublin, Ireland, Warren’s performances through three games played are enough to keep him on the list.
Aaron Rodgers continues to feed Warren out of the backfield, and he is emerging as one of the better receiving backs in the NFL.
9. Tyler Allgeier – BYU – Falcons RB
Last week, Allgeier took 16 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown. He forced seven missed tackles and had the second-highest week 4 PFF elusive rating behind Jeanty. The elusive rating is “a PFF Signature stat measuring success and impact of a runner with the ball independently of the blocking.”
With his play so far this year, there is a real chance that Allgeier is the second-best backup running back in the NFL. There is some competition there for sure, but Allgeier has been electric.
8. Dalton Kincaid – Utah – Bills TE
Prior to this season, Kincaid’s career-high for touchdowns in a season was two. He has three TDs through four weeks in 2025.
He has zero drops through four weeks and will likely shatter his own touchdown record as Buffalo looks to stay undefeated.
7. Penei Sewell – Desert Hills High – Lions OT
According to PFF, Sewell is rated as the No. 1 blocker in the NFL and is the best run blocker by a landslide.
His pass blocking leaves a bit to be asked for, and as a result, Jared Goff has taken some occasional heat off the right side.
6. Garett Bolles – Utah – Broncos OT
PFF has Bolles as the second-best blocker in the NFL and the best pass blocker.
My reasoning for Bolles over Sewell is simple: the former Ute is a better run blocker than Sewell is a pass blocker, at least through four weeks.
5. Bobby Wagner – Utah State – Commanders LB
Wagner dropped two spots in this week’s rankings, but it has little to do with his own play.
He has surpassed 10 total tackles in every game this season and is rated as the third-best linebacker and 12th-best defensive player, according to PFF.

4. Devin Lloyd – Utah – Jaguars LB
The biggest riser from this week, and maybe all year, is Lloyd. He was No. 9 last week and unranked before that.
He had two interceptions last week, and has already tied his career-high for picks in a season at three. PFF has the former Ute as the second-best linebacker and sixth-best defensive player in the league.
3. Jordan Love – Utah State – Packers QB
Despite a disappointing result, Love had his best game of the season in week four.
The former Aggie completed 31/43 pass attempts for 337 yards and three touchdowns, and also scrambled three times for 28 yards. The Packers are 2-1-1, but their status as contenders with Love under center remains unquestioned.
2. Puka Nacua – BYU – Rams WR
Nacua has really given the No. 1 spot a run for its money, but he stays at No. 2. For now.
He had 13 catches for 170 yards and a touchdown last week. He leads the NFL in receiving yards by a landslide.
He is on pace for 2,137 yards, which would be an NFL record. He is also on pace for 178 receptions, which would be an NFL record.
1. Fred Warner – BYU – 49ers LB
At the top spot is Warner, the No. 1-rated defensive player in the NFL according to PFF.
Unless you wanted to argue that Nacua is one, there really isn’t a debate for this spot.
In week four, Warner had eight total tackles (five solo) and a forced fumble. By his standards, that is a forgettable week. For most people, they’d hang a picture from that game on their wall.
