Tonight, week seven of the NFL season kicks off, which means it’s time for our local player power rankings.

As the midpoint of the 2025 season approaches, injuries are starting to take a real toll on many teams around the league. Unfortunately, a heavy hitter in our rankings fell victim in week six.

Regardless, there was a lot of movement in our top ten.

KSL Sports Locals In The NFL Power Rankings

Beginning this NFL season, we’ll post weekly player power rankings that shift as players make their mark.

These rankings are subjective — comparing offensive linemen to defensive backs, and quarterbacks to linebackers will never be perfect.

As the 2025 season goes on, performances in recent years matter less and less. Enough build-up, let’s get to the list.

Honorable Mentions

These are players who are in the mix but still on the outside looking in. An argument can be made for each one of these guys, but they failed to make the top ten for one reason or another.

Jaylen Warren (East High, Steelers RB), Taron Johnson (Weber State, Bills CB), Kyle Van Noy (BYU, Ravens LB), Jackson Hawes (Highland High, Bills TE), Jonah Elliss (Utah, Broncos LB), Cody Barton (Utah, Titans LB), Clark Phillips III (Utah, Falcons CB), Taysom Hill (BYU, Saints TE), Kaden Elliss (Judge Memorial High, Falcons LB)

There are a handful of injured players who would likely make the top ten if healthy, but are left out of the rankings. This includes former BYU LB Fred Warner, former Utah CB Jaylon Johnson, and former Utah S Julian Blackmon.

Now onto the rankings.

10. Tyler Allgeier – BYU – Falcons RB

Last week, Allgeier punched in his third touchdown of the season, putting a Buffalo defender on his back in the process.

Through six weeks, Allgeier has three rushing touchdowns. His career high for a season is four, set back in 2023. He is on pace to shatter that mark and even pass his high for total TDs in a season, which is five.

Bijan Robinson and Allgeier have been a special RB duo early in 2025.

9. Rashid Shaheed – Weber State – Saints WR

It was a relatively quiet week for Shaheed; he had just four catches for 28 yards.

However, his season-long production can’t be ignored. Chris Olave has picked up his production a bit, but Shaheed remains a top option in the New Orleans offense.

According to PFF’s offensive grade, Shaheed ranks 39th among all wide receivers and tight ends.

8. Jaxson Dart – Roy & Corner Canyon High – Giants QB

The rookie can’t be ignored any longer.

Last Thursday, he completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 195 yards and a touchdown. He added 58 yards on the ground with another TD with his legs. More importantly, the Giants defeated the reigning champion Eagles.

With Dart under center, New York is 2-1. They started the season 0-3 with Russel Wilson as QB1.

7. Dalton Kincaid – Utah – Bills TE

The former Ute didn’t play last week with an oblique injury and will enjoy a bye week this weekend.

But having already surpassed his career-high for touchdowns on the season, every game is an extra cherry on top. Not to mention, he set another career high the last time we saw him, breaking triple digits receiving for the first time in his career.

6. Garett Bolles – Utah – Broncos OL

Bolles is ranked as the No. 1 pass blocker and the No. 3 offensive lineman in all of football.

Bo Nix has barely gotten any heat off the left side this season.

5. Bobby Wagner – Utah State – Commanders LB

Wagner is 35 years old and in his 14th NFL season. But you wouldn’t be able to guess that when looking at the games or the box score.

PFF has Wagner as the No. 9 linebacker and the No. 33 overall defender this season. He is currently second in the league in total tackles.

4. Devin Lloyd – Utah – Jaguars LB

Lloyd flew under the radar in week six with just three tackles, but his NFL-leading four interceptions are about as loud as they come.

The former Ute is the fourth-highest-graded defensive player in the league, according to PFF.

3. Penei Sewell – Desert Hills High – Lions OL

Sewell is nearly a full five PFF points higher than any other offensive lineman this season. He has a similar lead when it comes to specifically pass blocking.

Detroit is picking up steam, and they’re winning the battle in the trenches almost every night, thanks to Sewell.

2. Jordan Love – Utah State – Packers QB

The Packers currently sit atop the NFC North, and a good amount of that credit is owed to their shot-caller.

Love is graded as the fifth-best quarterback in the NFL, according to PFF.

1. Puka Nacua – BYU – Rams WR

Last but not least is the NFL’s leader in receptions, former BYU Cougar Puka Nacua.

He had just two receptions for 28 yards a week ago, but the off week can be credited to the low-grade ankle sprain he suffered in the first half. He returned to action and teh Rams picked up the win, but his status is in question for week seven.

Still, Nacua has been on a tear this season, and it seems an injury is just about the only thing that could slow him down.
