Zach Wilson Leads Jets To Win Over Texans In Return From Injury

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU and current New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson led his team to a win over the Houston Texans in his first game back after a month off due to injury.
The Texans hosted the Jets on Sunday, November 28.
It was Wilson’s first game since October 24, when he suffered a PCL injury in a loss to the New England Patriots.
New York beat Houston, 21-14.
The win was Wilson’s second career victory as the Jets’ starter.

After struggling for most of the first half, Wilson led the Jets on a touchdown drive near the end of the second quarter. Houston went into the halftime break with a 14-11 lead.
Wilson and the Jets received the opening possession of the second half. The former BYU standout drove the team down the field before he ran the ball four yards into the end zone for a go-ahead touchdown. It was Wilson’s first rushing touchdown in the NFL.

The Jets added a field goal during the fourth quarter and held on for a seven-point victory.
Wilson finished the game 14/24 passing for 145 yards and an interception. He added two carries for three yards and a touchdown on the ground.

With the win, the Jets improved to a 3-8 record this season.
This season, Wilson has thrown for 1,313 yards, four touchdowns, and 10 interceptions with a 57.6 percent completion rate.
New York’s next game is against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, December 5 at 11 a.m. (MDT) on CBS.
