SALT LAKE CITY – Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich hit for the third cycle of his career in a 14-11 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
The Reds hosted the Brewers in a mid-week getaway day matinee at Great America Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH.
An official cycle occurs when a player hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game.

Trailing 14-8 in the ninth inning and needing a triple to complete the feat, Yelich lined a ball into the right field corner. Sprinting out of the box, Yelich was thinking three bases off of the bat.
Yelich hit for the cycle twice in 2018 on his way to winning the National League MVP award. Reds pitching has been victimized for all three cycles.
Milwaukee leads the National League Central with a 20-12 record.
After seeing his numbers drop the past two seasons, Yelich is enjoying a bit of a renaissance this year. He has knocked in 17 runs while batting .234 in 2022.
