Real Salt Lake Midfielder Luke Mulholland Visited Big Cat Rescue From Netflix’s ‘Tiger King’ Show

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake midfielder Luke Mulholland visited the animal sanctuary, Big Cat Rescue, from the Netflix series “Tiger King.”
Although the popular show, “Tiger King” has only recently taken captive the attention of its audience, the RSL midfielder has been no stranger to big cats.
Mulholland has played for Real Salt Lake since the 2014 MLS season and is quite familiar with “Leo the Lion,” mascot of the Utah based soccer club.
In addition to lions, Mulholland is also quite familiar with soccer talented tigers.
Prior to his time with RSL, Mulholland was a member of the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The midfielder visited the Big Cat Rescue, run by Carole Baskin, on more than occasion while in Florida.
Mulholland and his teammates spent time kicking a soccer ball into tigers while at the animal sanctuary.

The RSL midfielder might have had his fill of close encounters with tigers and chosen to stick with Leo and the lions instead. Mulholland was re-signed by Real Salt Lake on January 9, 2019.
During his time with the Utah soccer club, Mulholland has appeared in 123 matches including 97 starts. He’s scored 16 goals and posted 16 assists as a member of RSL.
