Real Salt Lake Signs Monarchs’ Noah Powder For 2021 Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Monarchs star Noah Powder has been signed by Real Salt Lake during the secondary transfer window. The attacking fullbacks will offer head coach Freddy Juarez more options to best help RSL score more goals.

Powder, 21, was born in Edison, New Jersey but represents Trinidad and Tobago on the national level. Prior to his stint at the Monarchs, Powder played a season with Orange County SC and two seasons with the New York Red Bulls II.
Powder is an attacking left-back and enjoys getting involved in the attacking third, similar to RSL’s right-back Aaron Herrera. In 2019, Powder scored 3 goals from 34 appearances and played a vital role in helping the club to their inaugural USL Championship.
“Noah is another success story of our development model. He’s a young, talented player who came into the Monarchs with something to prove and is hungry to show his skills at every level,” RSL General Manager Elliot Fall said. “He proved it by helping lead the team to a championship in 2019 and he’s really taken a step forward this year in terms of what he brings on the field and what he brings to the locker room. We are excited to see him at our Club for years to come.”
RSL’s Bright Future
With the addition of both Powder the future seems bright for Real Salt Lake. The RSL management group have been adamant at creating the best youth development program in the country.
The club continues to reiterate that they will reward young players who perform well at the lower levels, such as Powder.
Powder joins Luis Arriaga, Douglas Martinez Jr., Justin Portillo, Nick Besler, Maikel Chang, Erik Holt, Tate Schmitt and Julian Vasquez as players who have been signed by Real Salt Lake from the Real Monarchs.
