Real Salt Lake Drops New ‘Switchback’ Kit For 2026 Season

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake unveiled a new home kit for the 2026 season.
The jersey is called “The Switchback,” a reference to switchback trails in the mountains here in Utah.

The striped kit incorporates actual mountain patterns in the jersey’s claret red portion.

According to RSL’s release on the “The Switchback” kit, the patterns depict the Wasatch Mountain Range as seen from RSL’s home venue, America First Stadium.
Last year’s home kit, in claret red, featured vertical cobalt blue stripes with a mountain peak at the top.
The front-of-kit sponsor on the home jersey remains Intermountain Health, which donned the RSL home kit for the first time in 2025.
Before that, the front-of-kit sponsor was Select Health in 2024, following a 10-year run with LifeVantage.
The left sleeve of the Switchback kit features the RSL-specific MLS logo and the Apple TV logo.
At the bottom left of the kit, there is an outline of the state of Utah, and the numbers “05” appear within the state, above a mountain range. The “05” reference is a nod to the club’s establishment in 2005.
Fans can purchase the new Switchback kit now at the RSL Team Store.
New kit for the goalkeepers
The goalkeepers also have a revamped home kit for the 2026 season featuring the “Switchback” design.
It’s a solid black design up top with the switchback trails featured at the bottom of the jersey, continuing onto the shorts.

Last season, RSL’s goalkeepers wore a black, yellow, and gray kit for home matches between the pipes.
Real Salt Lake kicks off the 2026 season this month
RSL opens the 2026 MLS regular season against the Vancouver Whitecaps on February 21. The home opener is set for Saturday, February 28, against Seattle at 5:30 p.m. on Apple TV.
