Utah Jazz sign Andersson Garcia to 10-day contract

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz announced on Wednesday that they have signed Andersson Garcia to a 10-day contract.
Garcia joins the Jazz from the Mexico City Capitanes of the G League.

Andersson Garcia joins Jazz on 10-day contract
The Jazz cleared room to sign Garcia after waiving guard Vince Williams Jr. on Monday after the veteran was diagnosed with a season-ending ACL injury.
Garcia fills the Jazz’s last open roster spot, which the team can use to audition players on 10-day contracts for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old played five seasons of college basketball, beginning his career with Mississippi State in 2020 before transferring to Texas A&M as a junior, where he played his final three seasons.

Garcia was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team in 2024 and has built on that reputation in the G League.
The Dominican Republic native has averaged 9.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals in 25.3 minutes per game with the Capitanes.
Garcia has helped lead the Capitanes to the best record in the Western Conference at 21-8.
The rookie has never appeared in an NBA regular-season game.

Jazz sign Mo Bamba to second 10-day deal
On Sunday, the Jazz announced that veteran center Mo Bamba had signed his second 10-day contract with the team.
The former lottery pick joined the Jazz during the preseason, and sans a short stint with the Toronto Raptors earlier in the year, had spent the 2025-26 campaign with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League.
In 22 appearances with the Stars, Bamba averaged 17.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, while shooting 55 percent from the floor and 38 percent from three.

Bamba has appeared in two regular-season games with the Jazz, averaging 5.0 points and 10.0 rebounds.
The Jazz would have to sign Bamba for the rest of the season if they choose to retain him beyond his second 10-day deal.
