Five Jazzmen Touch Ball Leading To Best Play Of The Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A well-orchestrated play on the basketball court can be a thing of beauty, but sometimes it’s the accidents that look even better.
That was the case for the Utah Jazz against the Atlanta Hawks late in the second quarter of Friday’s game.
Off of a Hawks miss, Donovan Mitchell saved the ball under the Atlanta basket, usually a no-no as it can lead to open looks of the offense. However, the Jazz made the most of it.

Mike Conley caught Mitchell’s safe at halfcourt, and in one motion, sent the ball to Bojan Bogdanovic on a touch pass in mid-air. Bogdanovic took a few dribbles before finding Royce O’Neale on the wing with a cross-court bounce pass.
Instead of pulling up from three, O’Neale reward his big man for running the floor and found Rudy Gobert for a dunk and the full underneath the basket.
Quin Snyder is a terrific play designer, but in this case, it was a series of ‘right place at the right time’ coincidences that led to arguably the Jazz prettiest play of the season.
