Jazz Will Miss Joe Ingles Return To Bucks By One Game

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz will miss Joe Ingles return by just one game when they travel to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Ingles is planning to retake the floor for the Bucks early next week.
“After nearly 10 months of rehabilitation on a torn left ACL, Milwaukee Bucks forward Joe Ingles is targeting his return vs. New Orleans on Monday,” Wojnarowski tweeted. “Once Ingles successfully completes a final 5-on-5 workout Saturday, that’ll be the last hurdle in his comeback.”
Ingles Nearing Return For Bucks
Ingles last suited up for the Jazz on January 30 when he tore his ACL in a road game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Shortly after tearing the ligament in his knee, the Jazz traded Ingles to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Juancho Hernangomez.
Ingles never played for the Trail Blazers, and instead signed with the Bucks as an unrestricted free agent this past summer.
Earlier this month the former Jazz guard was assigned to the Bucks G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, a sign that his return to the NBA floor is growing nearer.
Ingles last suited up for the Jazz on January 30 when he tore his ACL in a road game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
During his time in Utah, the Australian guard averaged 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 0.9 steals in 25.7 minutes per game.
Ingles is the Jazz franchise leader with 1,071 made threes.
Milwaukee has lost two of its last three games heading into Saturday’s matchup, including a 142-101 drubbing at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
Jazz Open Difficult Road Stretch
After winning back-to-back home games over the New Orleans Pelicans, the Jazz head on the road where they will play six of their next seven games.
The Bucks mark the beginning of the Jazz’s first true Eastern Conference road swing which includes stops in Cleveland to face Donovan Mitchell and Detroit to face Bojan Bogdanovic and the Pistons.
The team will then return home for one game against the Washington Wizards before heading West to face the San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors, and the Sacramento Kings.

On Thursday, the Jazz announced that Collin Sexton was progressing from the hamstring injury that has caused him to miss the last four games.
“Collin Sexton (right hamstring strain) was reevaluated yesterday, which included a follow up MRI,” the Jazz announced. “He is progressing as expected, will continue to increase on court work and is day to day.”
The guard is averaging 14.3 points and 3.0 assists for the Jazz this season.
Sexton was ruled out by the Jazz on Friday, while Simone Fontecchio is questionable with an ankle injury.
