Joe Ingles Will Break ‘Ironman’ Streak When Jazz Face Bucks

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles will have his “ironman” streak broken when the team faces the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
Joe Ingles will have his ironman streak end at 418 total games, including 384 straight regular season games played for the Jazz.
Ingles will miss Utah’s game against the Bucks due to Achilles soreness. It was the longest active streak in the NBA.

Before Friday night’s game, the last time Ingles did not play was December 16, 2015 at home against the New Orleans Pelicans.
“Joe’s out tonight,” Jazz head coach Quin Snyder said pregame. “I don’t know what the exact date is but it’s been since 2015 I think that he’s played consecutively in all those games and I know he’d be playing if he could. There’s been a lot of times that he’s played through pain, and probably injury that he hasn’t told us about at times. But, you miss a player in the short run like Joe and he will be back and just gotta get healthy. We try to do what we can do to make up for not having him but as much as anything, it makes you pause for a second, and you reflect on, what a streak of consecutive games like that means and what it says about Joe. His toughness, his commitment, the type of teammate he is, and you pause and reflect for a second. You understand why you respect him like you do.”
The Jazz are 4-4 on the season and will hope to snap a two-game losing streak. Milwaukee is 5-3 and have won their last three games. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. MST on AT&T SportsNet.
