Rudy Gobert Hits 20-Foot Jumpshot For Jazz In First Quarter Against Pelicans

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert extended his range in the first quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night.

Rudy Gobert had the ball just above the free throw line, about 20 feet from the hoop when he nailed a jumpshot for the Jazz. It’s one of the deepest shots Gobert has made in a game setting in his career.
Rather than handing the ball off, Gobert was wide open with Steven Adams allowing him to shoot the deep ball and he did that. It gave Utah their second bucket of the game as they trailed the Pelicans 8-5 with 9:01 left in the first quarter.

It’s not uncommon for Gobert to hit deep shots but it is in games. Gobert has been seen in videos on social media hitting three-pointers in practice and shootarounds with the Jazz and with the French National Team.
The Jazz are in the middle of a four-game road trip and are currently 1-1 on the trip. They will end it on Wednesday, November 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers. It’s their last game before the All-Star break. Then the Jazz will return to action at home against the Houston Rockets on Friday, March 12 at Vivint Arena.
