SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah’s Donnie Tillman went through a pre-draft workout with the Utah Jazz on Friday and according to Jazz brass, he may have some things he needs to work on.
Following Tillman’s work out session with the Jazz, Utah’s vice president of player personnel Walt Perrin spoke to the media and stated that he thought the Ute had great measurables but has certain gaps in his game.
“What I saw out there was a player that’s got a nice strong body,” said Perrin of Tillman. “Knows how to use it going to the basket, he could probably learn to finish a little better.”

Perrin continued to say that Tillman did not have a great day when it came to shooting the ball.
“His shot was probably a little inconsistent so he’ll work on that to go further in his profession. But he showed a lot of energy,” said Perrin.
Not only was Tillman’s shot off a bit in his workout, but his footwear didn’t do him any favors either.

“I had to get on him a couple times because his shoe string came loose,” said Perrin, drawing a chuckle from the media. “I had to say, you know he played here so he should be used to the altitude instead of trying to take breaks.”
Tillman earned Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year honors last season for his strong play in conference play for the Utes.
While he’s currently testing the NBA waters, he’ll have until June 10 to either withdraw or fully enter the NBA Draft.
The NBA Draft will take place on June 20 in Chicago.
