Utah Jazz Post Season-Worst Shooting Night Vs. Bucks

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz were bested by the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, falling 113-99 on the road.
Keyonte George led the Jazz with 22 points but shot just 4-17 in the loss, while Cody Williams posted his first career double-double with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 27 points.

Utah Jazz offense struggles in Milwaukee
The Jazz were sluggish on offense against the Bucks in the first quarter, shooting just 5-for-25 in the first 12 minutes, including 2-for-11 inside the arc.
The scoring troubles followed one of their best offensive outings of the season on Thursday, when they piled up 56 points in the paint against a hapless Washington Wizards roster.
In Milwaukee, the Jazz managed only 28 points in the paint on 14-for-31 shooting.

Timely 3-point makes kept the game close at times, but Utah ultimately shot just 24 percent from deep and 34 percent overall, tying its worst field-goal percentage of the season.
“There’s a difference between playing poorly and shooting poorly,” Jazz coach Will Hardy said. “And I feel like tonight, we played well enough to win the game. We did not shoot well enough to win the game.”
Along with Keyonte George’s rough night, Williams shot 4-for-12, Ace Bailey went 4-for-13, and Kyle Filipowski finished 4-for-11.
Despite the struggles, Hardy praised his team’s effort.
“We missed a bunch of layups, we missed some open threes, and that’s just the way that it goes sometimes,” he said. “Over the course of 82 games, I anticipate there being a couple of nights where you just don’t make any, and tonight was one of those nights. But if you take that piece out, really proud of how the team played.”
With the loss, the Jazz fell to 19-45 on the season, and own the fifth-worst record in the NBA.
Brice Sensabaugh has a bounce-back game
After four straight rough shooting outings, Brice Sensabaugh was the one Jazz player who consistently found the bottom of the net against the Bucks.
The third-year guard shot 6-for-12 and nearly erased Milwaukee’s 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter on his own.
Sensabaugh scored 11 of his 17 points in the first six minutes of the period, cutting the Bucks’ lead to one before subbing out for good midway through the quarter.

The Ohio State product had been shooting just 24 percent from the field and 20 percent from three since Feb. 28, but he broke out of the slump in the final game of Utah’s three-game road trip.
He hit 3-of-6 from deep, grabbed five rebounds, added two steals and two assists, and finished with a team-best +7 plus-minus.
With the shorthanded Jazz returning home to a tougher schedule, Sensabaugh’s scoring will be critical—especially if the rest of the roster continues to struggle.
