PROVO – BYU basketball is no stranger to getting in the mix for blue-chip recruits anymore.
Under head coach Kevin Young, BYU landed No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa in the 2025 cycle. Then, in the 2026 cycle, they picked up a commitment from five-star Bruce Branch III.
Who could they pursue in the 2027 cycle?

The 6-foot-7 wing is rated as the No. 12 overall prospect in the class of 2027 by the 247Sports Composite. Jordan is rated a five-star recruit in the Composite.
The White House, Tennessee native, currently competes at Dream City Christian. Before joining Dream City Christian, he prepped at Link Academy during the 2024-25 season.
Jordan currently has offers from Kansas, Texas Tech, Alabama, Auburn, Indiana, Ohio State, Washington, USC, and others.
Impressive performance at Nike EYBL Atlanta
BYU’s offer to Jordan comes after a month of performances at Team USA Men’s Junior National Team minicamp during the Final Four weekend in Indianapolis and performance at the Nike EYBL Session 1 in Atlanta.
In Atlanta EYBL, Jordan was the eighth leading scorer, averaging 23 points per game for the Oakland Soldiers AAU team. The Soldiers are the same AAU squad AJ Dybantsa was once part of. Oakland recently retired Dybantsa’s Soldiers jersey.
BYU basketball currently has no commitments for the class of 2027.
