Lindsey picked BYU over Oklahoma, Missouri, and Arkansas in the SEC. Plus, Miami from the ACC.
Lindsey took an official visit to BYU last month, and the Cougars were able to close on the nation’s 510th-ranked prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The interest in BYU was clearly evident when he took an unofficial visit during spring practices in March.
Lindsey is a dual-sport athlete who also plays basketball at Rogers High School.
Along with being an edge rusher, Lindsey, who is viewed as a high-level athlete, also played receiver. He had 14 touchdown receptions at receiver to go along with nine sacks on the defensive side of the ball.
Lindsey’s commitment took place before BYU also landed Stillwater, Oklahoma defensive lineman Nehemiah Kolone on Monday night.
BYU has secured 18 commitments in the class of 2026 and boasts a class ranked 27th nationally by the 247Sports team recruiting rankings.
